The 3,0-litre turbo B58.2 engine in specific BMW/Toyota models is equipped with an intermediate air cooling circuit. Thus, the cooling of the charge air is carried out by water-cooled intercooler, which is integrated directly into the intake manifold.

The WAGNERTUNING intake manifold with an integrated intercooler has a new performance core that has been specifically developed for the high requirements and individual assembly position of the B58.2 engine and offers a 128% higher external core volume compared to the original intercooler. The calculated ratio of the internal and external cooling surface provides maximum heat transfer and at the same time the best possible internal air flow. With the help of CFD simulation, CNC milling front tanks were designed for optimal airflow conditions. The result is excellent cooling properties at minimal back pressure.
